NXE update...

So this is coming tomorow? I like the new dashboard, I like that it removes all the advertising shit that covers like 60% of my current dashboard... I can't even see the theme I have to pay for! The avatars... avatars. To me they look childish, and they are a clear rip off of Mii's. What do you guys think of the 'big update'?

Just so you know, you have to start up a game for the update to begin, then your console will reboot and it will download the NXE.

You dont have to start uo a game. Just go to dashboard and it downloads.

i agree normally u just sign in and it updates...

so wats everyone think?? i like it, its prettyier then the old one lol. there a few things id change like the fact whenever you go back to the dashboard from a game or sumthin it automatically takes u to the spotlight page, whereas id prefer for it to jus go to the my xbox page, also i think the friends page should be directly under the my xbox page rather then having to scroll to find it. apart from that its pretty good.
oh btw does anyone know how to delete 0 gamerscore games from ur list yet??

na i dont know how to remove 0 gamerscore games off lol.... and i havent had a go yet with the new dashboard....

So the thing about burning games to your hardrive is true but you still need the disk to play the game! The only upside I can see right now is that the disk doesnt have to spin so it runs quiet, anybody know something I'm missing.
Plus, I like avatars, they are like miis from wii. I tried to make a locust but looked like Micheal Jackson on a warpath.

the dashboard only crashes when u are looking at the friends at the party they are in with.... hopefully they will bring out a patch for it and no the Avatars are not shit they are mint!

the download to the hard drive apparently also enables you to not load the game im not completly sure.... but what ive heard is that you download the game to ur hard drive and thats it... no more loading

Installing games to your hard drive improves the performance of the game (shorter loading times), but not on all of them. I've heard installing Halo 3 increases the loading times though. I also makes your Xbox much quieter when playing the installed games as the optical drive doesn't need to move.

They take up like 6GB so it only any good if you have a 160gb Hard Drive.

Yeah, they take up a lot of space, but most games don't really have much of a difference. They only decrease the loading times by a few seconds so it isn't really worth it in the long run.
